Clusterin Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody designed to recognize full-length native Clusterin of human origin by targeting an epitope mapped between amino acids 120-449 at the C-terminus. Anti-Clusterin antibody (A-9) is validated for use in western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), ensuring reliable detection of Clusterin in human samples. Clusterin, also known as apolipoprotein J (ApoJ) or complement lysis inhibitor (CLI), is a multifunctional secretory heterodimeric glycoprotein involved in immune regulation, cell adhesion, lipid transportation, tissue remodeling, membrane recycling, and cell-cell interactions. Within cells, Clusterin is predominantly localized in the extracellular matrix, where Clusterin plays a critical role in maintaining cellular homeostasis by inhibiting the complement system and preventing unwanted immune responses. Additionally, Clusterin is found in the cytoplasm and nucleus, where Clusterin is involved in regulating apoptosis, protecting cells from stress-induced damage, and facilitating intracellular signaling pathways. This strategic localization is essential for diverse functions, allowing Clusterin to interact with various proteins and cellular structures to modulate processes such as cell survival, inflammation, and tissue repair. The ability to shuttle between different cellular compartments enables Clusterin to perform protective roles both extracellularly and intracellularly, thereby maintaining cellular integrity and responding to physiological stressors. By specifically targeting the C-terminal region, Clusterin monoclonal antibody (A-9) facilitates detailed studies of distribution and interactions within different cellular environments, providing valuable insights into functional mechanisms and involvement in pathological conditions such as cancer, where Clusterin is often overexpressed to support tumor progression and metastasis, and neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer′s disease, where Clusterin influences amyloid-beta aggregation and neuronal toxicity. Whether employed in basic research to elucidate molecular pathways or in clinical diagnostics to assess expression and localization in patient samples, Clusterin (A-9) antibody offers reliable and precise detection, thereby supporting advancements in understanding immune regulation, cancer biology, neurodegeneration, and the development of targeted therapeutic strategies.
