SEE ALSO...

CLS1 Antibody (E-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CLS1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CLS1 (E-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CLS1, also known as cardiolipin synthetase, is a crucial mitochondrial protein that belongs to the CDP-alcohol phosphatidyltransferase class-I family. CLS1 functions as a multi-pass membrane protein located in the inner mitochondrial membrane, where CLS1 plays a vital role in the synthesis of cardiolipin, a unique phospholipid essential for mitochondrial function. Cardiolipin is characterized by having four fatty acid tails instead of the usual two, making cardiolipin a double phospholipid that constitutes approximately 20% of total mitochondrial lipids. This lipid maintains the integrity of the mitochondrial membrane and participates in various processes, including mitochondrial dynamics, energy production, and apoptosis. Defects in the CRLS1 gene can disrupt cardiolipin synthesis, leading to impaired metabolism and ATP production, which may contribute to conditions such as Barth syndrome. CLS1 (E-8) monoclonal antibody serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying mitochondrial function and related metabolic disorders.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice, but detects ~44 kDa size in mouseVery nice and clean, bold bands at 1:1000. But in my mouse macrophages the size is always just under 45 kDa, never the 34 kDa as shown for the product example.
