SEE ALSO...

CLK3 Antibody (D-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CLK3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CLK3 (D-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CLK3, also known as CDC-like kinase 3 or PHCLK3, is a 638 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the regulation of RNA splicing by acting as a dual-specificity kinase. CLK3 catalyzes the ATP-dependent phosphorylation of serine- and arginine-rich splicing factor proteins, which is vital for their functional modulation and proper localization within the nucleus. This phosphorylation process is essential for the regulation of gene expression and the maintenance of cellular homeostasis, as CLK3 influences the splicing of pre-mRNA into mature mRNA, thereby impacting protein diversity and function. CLK3 is part of a complex network of serine/threonine protein kinases that coordinate various cellular processes, including cell division and apoptosis, highlighting CLK3′s importance in cellular signaling pathways. Additionally, four isoforms of CLK3 arise from alternative splicing, further diversifying CLK3′s functional roles in cellular processes.
