CLK2 Antibody (F-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CLK2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CLK2 (F-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CLK2, or CDC-like kinase 2, is a crucial 499 amino acid nuclear protein that plays a significant role in the regulation of RNA splicing by phosphorylating serine- and arginine-rich (SR) proteins within the spliceosomal complex. This phosphorylation is vital for the proper processing of pre-mRNA, which ultimately influences gene expression and cellular function. CLK2 is involved in various cellular processes such as cell division and apoptosis, making CLK2 a key player in maintaining cellular homeostasis. CLK2 exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms, short and long, and is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 1, highlighting CLK2′s evolutionary significance and potential as a therapeutic target in diseases where splicing regulation is disrupted.
