Datasheets
  • CLIP-115 Antibody (14) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ CLIP-115 antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against amino acids 801-917 of CLIP-115 of rat origin
  • CLIP-115 Antibody (14) is recommended for detection of CLIP-115 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP and IF
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for CLIP-115 Antibody (14) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with CLIP-115 Antibody (14) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

    SEE ALSO...

CLIP-115 Antibody (14) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CLIP-115 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-CLIP-115 antibody (14) is available as the non-conjugated format. CLIP-115 protein, encoded by the CYLN2 gene located in the Williams Syndrome critical region on chromosome 7q11.23, plays a crucial role in regulating microtubule dynamics, which is essential for maintaining cellular structure and facilitating intracellular transport. CLIP-115 protein is predominantly expressed in the brain, where CLIP-115 (14) monoclonal antibody contributes to neuronal stability and function. Disruptions in CLIP-115 expression can lead to significant neurological deficits, as observed in mouse models with haploinsufficiency of the CYLN2 gene, which exhibit symptoms similar to Williams Syndrome, including cognitive impairments and motor coordination challenges. CLIP-115 protein′s ability to bind to microtubules underscores its importance in neurodevelopment and highlights its potential as a target for understanding the underlying mechanisms of related disorders.

I am using CLIP-115 (14): sc-135869 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

    Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
