Clathrin LC Antibody (3F133) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects Clathrin in mouse, rat, human, bovine, Xenopus, and zebrafish by applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Clathrin is a crucial cytosolic coat protein that plays a vital role in receptor-mediated endocytosis, facilitating the engulfment of receptor proteins into clathrin-coated vesicles. The structure of Clathrin, composed of three heavy chains and three light chains that assemble into a distinctive triskelion shape, is essential for vesicle formation and cargo selection.
