SEE ALSO...

CIS Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CIS protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-CIS antibody (D-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CIS protein, or cytokine-inducible SH2-containing protein, plays a crucial role in regulating cytokine signaling pathways, acting as a negative regulator that modulates receptor tyrosine kinase activity. Through association with tyrosine-phosphorylated beta chain of interleukin-3 receptor and erythropoietin receptor, CIS helps fine-tune signaling cascades initiated by these receptors, which are vital for cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. CIS interaction with these receptors underscores an important role in hematopoiesis and immune responses, making CIS a significant target for research in cytokine signaling and related disorders.

Can CIS (D-8): sc-74581 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. Yes, CIS (D-8): sc-74581 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
