CIP2A Antibody (HL1925) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CIP2A protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. CIP2A (HL1925) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The cancerous inhibitor of protein phosphatase 2A (CIP2A), also known as p90 autoantigen or KIAA1524, is a single-pass membrane protein that plays a significant role in oncogenesis by inhibiting protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) activity. PP2A inhibition is critical as this phosphatase regulates various cellular processes, including cell growth and division, and PP2A dysfunction often associates with cancer progression. CIP2A stabilizes c-Myc levels by preventing c-Myc dephosphorylation, promoting tumor formation and malignant cell proliferation. CIP2A interaction with PP2A′s catalytic subunit enables unchecked c-Myc activity, facilitating human cell transformation. CIP2A overexpression occurs frequently in several cancer types, including colon, gastric, and head and neck squamous cell carcinomas, highlighting CIP2A′s potential as a therapeutic target and biomarker for cancer diagnosis and prognosis.
