SEE ALSO...

CIP29 Antibody (F-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CIP29 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CIP29 (F-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CIP29, also known as Cytokine-induced protein of 29 kDa, SARNP (SAP domain-containing ribonucleoprotein), and HCC1 (Nuclear protein Hcc-1), is a 210 amino acid nuclear protein that plays a crucial role in cellular processes, particularly in cell cycle progression and apoptosis, as expression is upregulated by erythropoietin. CIP29 is notable for binding both single-stranded and double-stranded DNA, exhibiting a higher affinity for single-stranded DNA, which is essential for function as a transcription factor. CIP29 is expressed at low levels in various tissues, including pancreas, spleen, testis, liver, kidney, heart, and thymus, but is found at elevated levels in pancreatic adenocarcinoma and hepatocellular carcinoma, highlighting potential as a biomarker for these malignancies. Additionally, a translocation t(11;12)(q23;q13) in acute myelomonocytic leukemia results in the fusion of the coding region of CIP29 gene with exon 9 of the MLL gene, leading to the production of a hybrid protein that retains the N-terminal SAP domain and nuclear localization signals of CIP29, along with the AT hooks and DNA methyltransferase homology region from MLL, further emphasizing importance in cancer biology.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great CIP29 antibody for Western Blot analyisisAntibody detects CIP29 in human cell lines Hep G2 (left) and MIA PaCa-2 (right) at around 34 KDa, which is the protein size commonly observed for CIP29 by Western blot (theoretical protein size is 23.7 KDa) Note that CIP29 is acetylated and phosphorylated post-translation. -SCBT QC
