    SEE ALSO...

CIB Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects calcium- and integrin-binding protein (CIB) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CIB plays a crucial role in cellular signaling and regulation, particularly in platelets where CIB interacts with integrin α2b/β3, the fibrinogen receptor essential for platelet aggregation and clot formation. The binding of CIB to the cytoplasmic domain of α2b is influenced by intracellular calcium levels, highlighting the importance of calcium signaling in platelet function. CIB′s ability to translocate to the Triton X-100-insoluble cytoskeleton in aggregated platelets indicates dynamic cellular localization, which is vital for regulatory functions. Beyond platelets, CIB also interacts with DNA-PKcs, a key protein involved in DNA repair and lymphoid development, suggesting broader implications in cellular processes. With significant homology to calcineurin B and calmodulin, CIB′s expression across various human tissues underscores potential importance in diverse biological contexts. Anti-CIB antibody (E-9) is an essential tool for researchers studying the intricate roles of CIB in cellular signaling and implications in health and disease.
