CHMP1B Antibody (D-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CHMP1B protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-CHMP1B antibody (D-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CHMP1B is a member of the charged multivesicular body proteins, or chromatin modifying proteins, which are integral components of the endosomal sorting complex required for transport (ESCRT) machinery. These complexes play a vital role in sorting endosomal cargo into multivesicular bodies, which are essential for degradation and recycling of cellular components. CHMP1B specifically interacts with VPS4B and is localized to early endosomes, where CHMP1B contributes to proper functioning of the endosomal system. CHMP1B exists in two isoforms, CHMP1A and CHMP1B, which are encoded by distinct genes and have unique regulatory roles in cellular processes. Overexpression of CHMP1B can lead to dilation of endosomal compartments, disrupting normal distribution of endosomal markers and potentially impacting cellular homeostasis. This makes CHMP1B an important target for studies related to endosomal trafficking and cellular signaling pathways.
