Chk1 Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Chk1 protein in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Chk1 (F-11) antibody is available non-conjugated or conjugated to agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® dyes. Chk1 protein functions as a key regulator in G2 DNA damage checkpoint response. Through phosphorylation of Cdc25C in response to DNA damage, Chk1 protein inhibits Cdc25C activity, blocking mitosis progression until damage repair completion. This regulatory mechanism maintains genomic stability by preventing cells with damaged DNA from entering mitosis, reducing mutation risks and potential tumorigenesis. Chk1 protein also interacts with cell cycle regulators like Wee1, highlighting a crucial role in cell cycle control networks.
