    SEE ALSO...

CHCHD5 Antibody (G-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CHCHD5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CHCHD5 (G-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CHCHD5, or coiled-coil-helix-coiled-coil-helix domain-containing protein 5, is a 110 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of one CHCH domain, which plays a crucial role in mitochondrial function and cellular respiration. CHCHD5 is primarily located in the mitochondria, where CHCHD5 is involved in the regulation of oxidative phosphorylation and the maintenance of mitochondrial integrity. Proper functioning of CHCHD5 is vital for energy production in cells, and disruptions in CHCHD5 activity can lead to mitochondrial dysfunction, which is implicated in various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and metabolic syndromes. The gene encoding CHCHD5 is situated on human chromosome 2, a region associated with several genetic diseases, highlighting the importance of CHCHD5 in both health and disease.

What blocking solution should I use with CHCHD5 (G-9): sc-514187 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

    Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
