SEE ALSO...

CFTR Antibody (A-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CFTR protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CFTR Antibody (A-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) protein plays a crucial role in maintaining the balance of salt and water on epithelial surfaces, which is vital for proper respiratory and digestive function. Located primarily in the apical membrane of epithelial cells, anti-CFTR antibody (A-3) detects a protein that regulates chloride ion transport, and CFTR dysfunction leads to the accumulation of thick mucus in organs such as the lungs and pancreas, contributing to the pathophysiology of cystic fibrosis. Additionally, CFTR mutations are linked to congenital bilateral absence of vas deferens, a condition that affects male fertility. Understanding the structure and function of CFTR is essential for developing targeted therapies for cystic fibrosis and related disorders, making anti-CFTR antibody (A-3) an invaluable tool for researchers studying these critical pathways.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-376683 P appropriate for?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 5 out of 5 by from
