SEE ALSO...

CEACAM7 Antibody (BAC2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CEACAM7 protein of human origin by immunofluorescence (IF) and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-CEACAM7 antibody (BAC2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CEACAM7, also known as carcinoembryonic antigen gene-family member 2 (CGM2), is a member of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) family, which is crucial in cancer diagnostics as a tumor marker in serum immunoassays for carcinoma. CEACAM7 is primarily located on the apical surface of highly differentiated epithelial cells in the colorectal mucosa and isolated ductal epithelial cells in the pancreas, highlighting CEACAM7′s significance in maintaining epithelial integrity and function. CEACAM7 expression is notably downregulated in colorectal cancers, indicating CEACAM7′s potential role in tumorigenesis and suggesting involvement in the regulation of cell adhesion and signaling pathways critical for normal cellular function. Additionally, CEACAM7 interacts with CD66a, a biliary glycoprotein, which may further elucidate CEACAM7′s role in epithelial-microbial interactions and the immune response.

How can CEACAM7 (BAC2): sc-59946 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-59946 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-59946 FITC).
