CDK2AP1 Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CDK2AP1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CDK2AP1 antibody (H-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CDK2AP1, also known as p12 or DOC-1, plays a crucial role as a growth suppressor by binding to and inhibiting DNA polymerase α/primase, which is essential for DNA replication initiation. Such inhibition prevents unwarranted cell cycle progression, maintaining genomic stability. CDK2AP1 also interacts with cyclin-dependent kinase 2 (Cdk2) and targets Cdk2 for proteolysis, promoting cell cycle arrest during S phase and potentially triggering apoptosis. TGFβ1 transcriptionally induces CDK2AP1 expression, mediating growth inhibitory effects by modulating Cdk2 activities and retinoblastoma protein (pRB) phosphorylation. Due to CDK2AP1′s significant role in regulating cell proliferation and apoptosis, researchers consider CDK2AP1 a promising candidate for tumor suppression, particularly in oral cancer.
