Cdc20 Antibody (H-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Cdc20 of mouse, rat, and human origin through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Cdc20 (H-7) antibody is offered in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cdc20 plays a crucial role in cell cycle regulation, particularly in the transition from the G2 phase to mitosis, by activating the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C), which is essential for the degradation of cyclins and other regulatory proteins. This degradation is vital for the proper progression of the cell cycle, ensuring that cells do not prematurely enter mitosis, which could lead to genomic instability and cancer. Cdc20 is highly expressed in actively dividing cells, and expression levels decrease significantly when cell growth is halted, highlighting importance in cell proliferation. Cdc20 interacts with various proteins, including cyclin B and the p34Cdc2 kinase, forming complexes that are critical for the activation of the M phase promoting factor (MPF), further underscoring significance in cell cycle control.
