SEE ALSO...

Cdc2 p34 Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Cdc2 p34 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Cdc2 p34 (B-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cdc2 p34 plays a crucial role in regulating the cell cycle, particularly in the transition from the G2 phase to mitosis, making Cdc2 p34 essential for proper cell division and proliferation. This regulation is vital for maintaining genomic stability and preventing uncontrolled cell growth, which can lead to cancer. In vertebrates, Cdc2 p34 interacts with various cyclins, and Cdc2 p34 activity is tightly controlled throughout the cell cycle. Cyclin-dependent kinase 2 (Cdk2) also plays a significant role, highlighting the complexity of cell cycle control mechanisms. The identification of additional cyclin-dependent kinases, such as Cdk3 through Cdk8 and the PCTAIRE family, further underscores Cdc2 p34′s importance in cellular processes and potential as a target for therapeutic interventions.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-8395 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
