SEE ALSO...

CD9 Antibody (P1/33/2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody raised against a common acute lymphoblastic leukemia antigen, reactive with mouse, rat, and human species, and validated for applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). CD9, also known as Tetraspanin-29, is a type IV transmembrane glycoprotein with four transmembrane domains and is predominantly located on the plasma membrane of various cell types, including early B cells, eosinophils, basophils, activated T cells, and platelets. CD9 (P1/33/2) antibody′s cell surface localization is critical for mediating cell-cell adhesion and facilitating interactions between adjacent cells, which is essential for immune responses, tissue repair, and cellular signaling. CD9 monoclonal antibody (P1/33/2) is also involved in signal transduction pathways through interactions with low molecular weight GTP-binding proteins, impacting intracellular processes such as migration, proliferation, and adhesion. CD9 is a major component of the platelet surface, playing a key role in platelet aggregation and hemostasis. Additionally, CD9 is expressed in various hematological malignancies, including most non-T acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells and some acute myeloid and chronic lymphoid leukemias, making CD9 (P1/33/2) monoclonal antibody an important marker for diagnostic and research purposes. Anti-CD9 antibody (P1/33/2) provides a versatile tool for studying the function, cellular localization, and pathological roles of this critical transmembrane protein and is available in non-conjugated form, suitable for a wide range of experimental applications.

For Research Use Only. Not Intended for Diagnostic or Therapeutic Use.

Hello, I’m reaching out to ask whether the CD9 antibody (P1/33/2), catalog number sc-20048, is conformation-dependent. Specifically, when using this antibody for Western blot, should reducing agents be avoided to preserve epitope recognition? Thank you

Asked by: LiLian
Thank you for your question. sc-20048 CD9 (P1/33/2) should be used under reducing conditions. https://www.scbt.com/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with CD9 (P1/33/2): sc-20048 monoclonal antibody?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10°C methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
