CD8-β Antibody (H35-17.2) is a rat monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects CD8 in mouse samples through applications such as immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). CD8 is a crucial cell surface glycoprotein that forms a heterodimeric complex, typically composed of either αα or αβ chains, and plays a vital role in the immune response by binding to class I major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules presented by antigen-presenting cells. This interaction is essential for T cytotoxic cells, which express CD8, as CD8 enhances the recognition of antigens by the T cell receptor (TCR) and strengthens the avidity of TCR-antigen interactions, thereby facilitating effective immune responses. Additionally, CD8-expressing T cells are implicated in maintaining low levels of HIV expression, highlighting CD8′s importance not only in adaptive immunity but also in viral control. Anti-CD8-β antibody (H35-17.2) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying T cell biology, immune responses, and the mechanisms of viral infections, providing insights into the complex interactions that govern immune system function.

How can CD8-β (H35-17.2): sc-20041 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-20041 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-20041 FITC).
