    SEE ALSO...

CD79B Antibody (G-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects CD79B in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CD79B, also known as B29, plays a crucial role in the formation of the B cell antigen receptor complex by pairing with CD79A, which is essential for B cell activation and signaling. Anti-CD79B antibody (G-7) facilitates the study of surface expression of membrane immunoglobulins, such as IgM and IgD, which are vital for effective antigen recognition and immune response. Additionally, the cytoplasmic tail of CD79B contains an immuno-receptor tyrosine-based activation motif (ITAM) that is critical for initiating downstream signaling pathways upon antigen binding, ultimately leading to B cell proliferation and differentiation. CD79B monoclonal antibody (G-7) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying B cell biology and the mechanisms underlying immune responses.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-166675 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
