SEE ALSO...

CD45RA Antibody (4KB5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody engineered to target the CD45RA isoform of CD45 (PTPRC), which is prominently expressed on human hairy cell leukemia cells. CD45RA is a transmembrane glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in regulating hematopoietic cells, featuring a complex structure composed of a conserved intracellular domain and a variable extracellular domain. The extracellular region undergoes alternative splicing of exons 4, 5, and 6, resulting in multiple isoforms such as CD45RA, CD45RB, CD45RC, and CD45RO, each differing in their extracellular epitopes and distributed uniquely across various immune cell types. This structural variability is essential for precise binding and recognition by CD45RA (4KB5) monoclonal antibody, enabling accurate detection and analysis in western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). The conserved intracellular domain of CD45RA functions as a phosphotyrosine phosphatase, integral to modulating tyrosine phosphorylation events triggered by the TCR/CD3 complex, thereby influencing key signaling pathways mediated by Src and Syk family kinases such as Lck, Fyn, and ZAP-70. This structural and functional integrity makes CD45RA indispensable for effective immune cell activation and signaling, underscoring anti-CD45RA antibody (4KB5) as a vital tool for researchers investigating immune cell biology, signaling mechanisms, and related hematological disorders.

Can CD45RA (4KB5): sc-20057 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, CD45RA (4KB5): sc-20057 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
