CD37 Antibody (HH1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects human CD37 by flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-CD37 antibody (HH1) is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD37 is a member of the tetra-span transmembrane family (TSTF), which includes other cell-surface proteins such as CD9, CD53, CD63, CD81, and CD82, all characterized by their four hydrophobic, membrane-spanning domains. These proteins are crucial for mediating signal transduction events that influence cell development, adhesion, activation, growth, and motility. The human CD37 gene is located on chromosome 19p13-q13.4 and encodes a 281 amino acid glycoprotein that plays a significant role in T-cell and B-cell interactions by forming complexes with integrins and other TSTF proteins. CD37 is predominantly expressed on normal and neoplastic mature sIg+ B cells, while showing lower expression on resting and activated T cells, neutrophils, granulocytes, and monocytes. Studies using transgenic mouse models lacking CD37 have shown no significant changes in the development and cellular composition of lymphoid organs, underscoring CD37′s importance in immune system regulation.

Can you share a picture of the HH1 HRP conjugate used in western blot please? What MW does it show the CD37? I understand there is some variation due to glycosylation, does it show multiple bands?

Can CD37 (HH1): sc-18881 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, CD37 (HH1): sc-18881 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
