Datasheets
  • CD34 Antibody (TUK3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 κ, cited in 14 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against KG-1 cells
  • recommended for detection of the class III CD34 epitope (which is resistant to neuraminidase, chymopapain and glycoprotease) of human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and FCM
  • available conjugated to either phycoerythrin or FITC for IF, IHC(P) and FCM
  • See CD34 (ICO115): sc-7324 for CD34 antibody conjugates, including AC, HRP, FITC, PE, Alexa Fluor® 488, 594, 647, 680 and 790.
  • m-IgG3 BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for CD34 Antibody (TUK3) for WB and IHC(P) applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with CD34 Antibody (TUK3) (see ordering information below).

SEE ALSO...

CD34 Antibody (TUK3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 antibody that detects CD34 in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). CD34 is a heavily glycosylated, transmembrane glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in the identification and isolation of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, as CD34 is predominantly expressed on their surface. CD34 is essential for maintaining the stem cell niche and facilitating cell adhesion, which is vital for the proper functioning of the hematopoietic system. Notably, CD34 expression is highest in the most primitive stem cells and diminishes as these cells differentiate into lineage-committed progenitors, making CD34 a key marker for stem cell research and therapeutic applications. Additionally, the cytoplasmic domain of CD34 contains consensus sites for phosphorylation by activated protein kinase C, as well as serine, threonine, and tyrosine phosphorylation sites, which are important for intracellular signaling pathways that regulate cell growth and differentiation. Anti-CD34 antibody (TUK3) is therefore an invaluable tool for researchers studying stem cell biology, vascular development, and various hematological disorders.

Can CD34 (TUK3): sc-19587 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, CD34 (TUK3): sc-19587 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
