SEE ALSO...

CD137 Antibody (G-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects CD137 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CD137, also known as ILA or 4-1BB in mice, is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor family and plays a crucial role in the immune response by delivering costimulatory signals to T lymphocytes. CD137 is primarily expressed on activated T cells and interacts with its inducible ligand found on B cells, macrophages, and dendritic cells, which is essential for effective antigen presentation and the generation of cytotoxic T cells. CD137′s ability to regulate peripheral monocyte survival through the induction of a specific cytokine release profile highlights CD137′s importance in maintaining immune homeostasis. The interaction between CD137 and its ligand not only promotes T cell activation but also influences the apoptosis of resting lymphocytes, showcasing CD137′s dual role in immune regulation. Soluble forms of CD137 have been detected in the sera of patients with rheumatoid arthritis, suggesting a potential negative feedback mechanism in immune responses, which underscores CD137′s significance in both health and disease. Anti-CD137 antibody (G-1) is an invaluable tool for researchers aiming to explore the complexities of immune signaling and the therapeutic potential of targeting this pathway.
