Datasheets
  • CCS Antibody (D-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ, cited in 2 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 199-235 within an internal region of CCS of human origin
  • recommended for detection of CCS of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including porcine
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP, m-IgG1 BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for CCS Antibody (D-7) for WB and IHC(P) applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with CCS Antibody (D-7) (see ordering information below).

SEE ALSO...

CCS Antibody (D-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Copper Chaperone for SOD-1 (CCS) in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CCS plays a critical role in the proper functioning of Cu-Zn superoxide dismutase-1 (SOD-1) by facilitating the incorporation of copper ions, which are essential for the enzyme′s antioxidant activity. CCS is primarily located in the cytosol, where CCS acts as a dedicated chaperone, ensuring that copper is delivered specifically to SOD-1 while preventing binding to other intracellular copper scavengers. CCS localization is vital, as CCS helps maintain cellular homeostasis by regulating copper levels and protecting cells from oxidative stress. CCS (D-7) antibody targets a protein most abundantly expressed in the kidney, liver, and Purkinje cells of the central nervous system, highlighting CCS importance in tissues particularly susceptible to oxidative damage. Anti-CCS antibody (D-7) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying oxidative stress mechanisms and copper′s role in cellular processes, as well as for investigating CCS implications in various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-374205 P appropriate for?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
