Datasheets
  • CCK-4 Antibody (WW02) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b κ CCK-4 antibody, cited in 1 publications, provided at 100 µg/ml
  • raised against recombinant CCK-4 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of mature CCK-4 and CCK-4 precursor of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgG2b BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for CCK-4 Antibody (WW02) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with CCK-4 Antibody (WW02) (see ordering information below).

SEE ALSO...

CCK-4 Antibody (WW02) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects CCK-4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CCK-4 antibody (WW02) is available as the non-conjugated format. Cholecystokinin (CCK) plays a crucial role as a brain/gut peptide, primarily involved in stimulating the release of pancreatic enzymes and promoting gallbladder contraction, which is essential for digestion and nutrient absorption. The CCK precursor undergoes cleavage to yield active peptides, including CCK58, which further underscores CCK′s importance in digestive processes. CCK-4, a Type I membrane protein belonging to the Tyr family of protein kinases and the insulin receptor subfamily, is notable for lacking the typical tyrosine kinase catalytic activity, suggesting a potential role in cell adhesion rather than in signaling pathways. CCK-4 is considered a potential tumor progression marker and may be implicated in the pathophysiology of colon carcinoma. CCK-4 is predominantly expressed in the pancreas, liver, lung, placenta, kidney, and melanocytes, while absent in the colon but can be detected in erythroleukemia cells, highlighting CCK-4′s diverse expression profile and potential relevance in various biological contexts.

I am using CCK-4 (WW02): sc-100304 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
