    SEE ALSO...

CatSperδ Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CatSperδ protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CatSperδ antibody (A-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CatSperδ protein, a crucial component of the CatSper family, plays a significant role in sperm motility and fertilization by facilitating calcium influx in sperm cells. Located in the principal piece of the sperm tail, CatSperδ is a single-pass type I membrane protein composed of 798 amino acids and exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms, which are encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 19. CatSperδ′s unique structure, characterized by a single, six-transmembrane-spanning segment and a voltage-dependent calcium channel four-repeat structure, is essential for function as this allows for the formation of an alkalinization-activated calcium-selective channel. This channel is vital for proper sperm motility, and any mutations in genes encoding CatSper proteins can lead to male infertility, highlighting CatSperδ′s importance in reproductive health.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-393749 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
