Cathepsin E Antibody (E-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects cathepsin E in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Cathepsin E is a nonlysosomal, intracellular proteinase that plays a crucial role in the processing of proteins and peptides, which is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating immune responses. Anti-cathepsin E antibody (E-8) participates in antigen processing and presentation, making cathepsin E vital for the adaptive immune system. Additionally, cathepsin E is involved in the maturation of certain proteins, influencing their functionality and stability within the cell. The presence of cathepsin E in various tissues underscores its importance in both physiological and pathological processes, including inflammation and cancer progression. With broad species reactivity and versatility in multiple applications, cathepsin E (E-8) monoclonal antibody serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying the intricate roles of this protease in health and disease.
