SEE ALSO...

Cathepsin E Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects cathepsin E protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-cathepsin E antibody (D-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cathepsin E, a member of the aspartyl protease class, plays a crucial role in the immune system by processing antigens and is involved in the maturation of certain immune cells. Non-lysosomal localization allows cathepsin E to participate in intracellular protein degradation and peptide biosynthesis outside the lysosome, which is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating immune responses. Interactions between cathepsin E and various proteins, including those involved in antigen presentation, underscore cathepsin E′s importance in immune function and potential implications in autoimmune diseases and cancer.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-166500 P appropriate for?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
