CASPR2 Antibody (H-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects CASPR2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CASPR2 (H-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CASPR2, also known as contactin-associated protein 2, is a crucial transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the neurexin superfamily, predominantly found in the juxtaparanodal regions of myelinated axons. CASPR2 precise localization is vital for proper nervous system functioning, playing a significant role in clustering voltage-gated potassium channels, specifically Kv1.1 and Kv1.2, which are essential for maintaining rapid action potential propagation along myelinated fibers. CASPR2 interaction with these potassium channels facilitates efficient signal transmission and contributes to axonal membrane structural integrity, highlighting CASPR2 importance in neuronal communication and overall nervous system health.
