CASKIN2 Antibody (H-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects CASKIN2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CASKIN2 antibody (H-7) is available in non-conjugated form. CASKIN2, also known as ANKS5B, is a 1,202 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by localizing to the cytoplasm, where CASKIN2 contains one SH3 domain, two SAM domains, and six ANK repeats. CASKIN2 is expressed ubiquitously, with highest levels found in fetal and adult liver tissue, and interacts with CASK, thereby coupling to distinct downstream effectors, which is essential for proper neuronal function and synaptic signaling. The gene encoding CASKIN2 is located on human chromosome 17, a region comprising over 2.5% of the human genome and associated with key tumor suppressor genes such as p53 and BRCA1. p53 protein regulates cell fate decisions between DNA repair and apoptosis, while BRCA1 functions in DNA repair and is associated with hereditary breast and ovarian cancers.
