CASC3 Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CASC3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CASC3 (G-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CASC3, also known as cancer susceptibility candidate 3, BTZ, or MLN51, is a 703 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the exon junction complex (EJC), a multi-protein assembly that associates with spliced mRNAs. This complex is essential for nonsense-mediated mRNA decay, which helps maintain the integrity of gene expression by eliminating faulty mRNAs that could lead to the production of nonfunctional or harmful proteins. CASC3′s presence in both the nucleus and cytoplasm highlights CASC3′s importance in mRNA processing and transport, as well as CASC3′s potential involvement in ribonucleoprotein particle function. Notably, CASC3 is overexpressed in breast and gastric cancers, indicating CASC3′s significant role in tumor development and metastasis. The gene encoding CASC3 is located on human chromosome 17, a region that encompasses over 2.5% of the human genome and contains more than 1,200 genes, further underscoring CASC3′s relevance in cellular processes and disease mechanisms.
