    SEE ALSO...

CaMKV Antibody (2F3-1A2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CaMKV protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-CaMKV antibody (2F3-1A2) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. The Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinases (CaMKs) represent a structurally related subfamily of serine/threonine kinases, and CAMKV (CaM kinase-like vesicle-associated), also known as 1G5 or VACAMKL, is a 501 amino acid protein that is primarily localized to cytoplasmic vesicles and the cell membrane, which is crucial for its role in cellular signaling and vesicle trafficking. Although CAMKV is considered catalytically inactive, CAMKV presence in these cellular compartments suggests involvement in regulating vesicle function and contributing to nervous system development. The gene encoding CAMKV is located on human chromosome 3, a region that harbors over 1,100 genes, including several key tumor suppressor genes and those associated with various genetic disorders such as Marfan Syndrome and von Hippel-Lindau syndrome. The existence of multiple isoforms of CAMKV due to alternative splicing further highlights the complexity of CAMKV function and potential interactions within cellular pathways, making CAMKV an important target for research in both normal physiology and disease states.
