CaMKIIβ Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to target the C-terminal epitope of the Ca²⁺/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II beta (CaMKIIβ) between amino acids 511-540 of mouse origin. CaMKIIβ monoclonal antibody (D-6) exhibits broad species reactivity, effectively recognizing CaMKIIβ from mouse, rat, human, canine, and bovine origins across various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Available in both non-conjugated form and multiple conjugated forms such as agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates, anti-CaMKIIβ antibody (D-6) offers versatile options for diverse experimental needs. CaMKIIβ, also called CAM2, CAMK2, CAMKB, CaMKIIbeta, and MRD54, is a critical member of the Ca²⁺/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II (CaMKII) family, which plays a pivotal role in translating calcium signals into cellular responses. Located predominantly in the cytoplasm and dendrites of neurons, CaMKIIβ is essential for synaptic plasticity, learning, and memory by regulating the strength and formation of synaptic connections. CaMKIIβ′s strategic localization within the cell allows for effective modulation of phosphorylation of various substrates involved in neurotransmitter release, cytoskeletal rearrangements, and gene expression, thereby influencing neuronal communication and plasticity. Beyond the nervous system, CaMKIIβ is involved in the regulation of the cell cycle, transcription, and other critical cellular processes, making CaMKIIβ indispensable for maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to environmental stimuli. The precise detection and study of CaMKIIβ using anti-CaMKIIβ antibody (D-6) enable researchers to investigate spatial and temporal dynamics, elucidate role in signal transduction pathways, and understand contributions to both normal physiological functions and pathological conditions such as neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, and cardiovascular disorders.
