CaMKI Antibody (H-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects CaMKI protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-CaMKI antibody (H-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CaMKI, a member of the calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase family, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways by phosphorylating serine and threonine residues on target proteins, which is essential for regulating various physiological processes such as cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. CaMKI is primarily located in the cytoplasm and can translocate to the nucleus upon activation, highlighting its importance in mediating calcium signaling and influencing gene expression. Additionally, CaMKI is activated through the binding of calcium-bound calmodulin, which underscores the significance of calcium as a second messenger in cellular responses. Understanding the function and regulation of CaMKI is vital for elucidating its role in health and disease, particularly in conditions where calcium signaling is disrupted.
