Cacna2d1 Antibody (E-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Cacna2d1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Cacna2d1 antibody (E-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cacna2d1, also known as calcium channel, voltage-dependent, alpha 2/delta subunit 1, is a crucial component of voltage-dependent calcium channels, which are vital for neurotransmitter release and muscle contraction. Cacna2d1 is primarily located in the plasma membrane of excitable cells, such as those in skeletal muscle and the central nervous system, where Cacna2d1 plays a significant role in regulating calcium influx. Proper functioning of Cacna2d1 is essential for excitation-contraction coupling, as Cacna2d1 influences calcium current density and ensures effective communication between nerve and muscle cells. Notably, Cacna2d1 precursor undergoes proteolytic processing to yield two functional subunits, alpha-2-1 and delta-1, which are linked by disulfide bonds, highlighting the importance of structural integrity for channel function.

Are there any issues with using sc-271697: Cacna2d1 (E-10) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody.
