    SEE ALSO...

CA VB Antibody (D-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CA VB of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CA VB (D-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Carbonic anhydrases (CAs) are a large family of zinc metalloenzymes that catalyze the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide, playing crucial roles in numerous biological processes such as respiration, acid-base balance, and the formation of various bodily fluids. CA VB, also known as carbonate dehydratase VB, is one of the two isoforms of CA V and is primarily localized in the mitochondria, where CA VB is involved in essential metabolic processes. CA VB is predominantly expressed in the heart, pancreas, lung, placenta, kidney, and skeletal muscle, exhibiting the highest homology with CA VA, the second isoform of CA V. Unlike CA VA, CA VB is not expressed in the liver, indicating a distinct physiological role that may be critical for the metabolic functions in tissues where CA VB is present. The unique expression pattern and mitochondrial localization of CA VB underscore CA VB′s importance in cellular metabolism and highlight CA VB′s potential as a target for research into metabolic disorders.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Antibody worked really well on HCT116 cellsAntibody worked really well on HCT116 cells transiently transfected with pcDNA3.1 CAVB plasmid. First tried 1:100 dilution, which gave a massive band. Dilution 1:1000 worked well with a longer exposure time. I could also add an image to show the results.
