CA IX Antibody (H-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CA IX protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CA IX antibody (H-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CA IX (H-11) antibody recognizes a member of the carbonic anhydrase family that plays a crucial role in regulating pH and facilitating the transport of carbon dioxide and bicarbonate across cell membranes, which is vital for maintaining acid-base balance in tissues. CA IX protein is particularly important in tumor biology, as CA IX expression increases in hypoxic conditions commonly found in solid tumors, such as clear-cell renal carcinomas. CA IX expression patterns serve as potential biomarkers for cancer diagnosis and prognosis while highlighting a role in tumor progression and adaptation to the tumor microenvironment. Understanding CA IX function and regulation can provide insights into therapeutic strategies targeting tumor metabolism and hypoxia.
