Bystin Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Bystin in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Bystin antibody (F-7) recognizes the evolutionarily conserved Bystin protein, which is primarily localized in the nucleolus and cytoplasm, playing a crucial role in ribosome biogenesis. Bystin (F-7) antibody identifies a protein that associates with the 40S ribosomal subunit in the nucleus and interacts with Trophinin and Tastin in the cytoplasm, facilitating cell adhesion. This interaction is vital for maintaining cellular integrity and function, as knockdown of Bystin has been shown to inhibit cell proliferation and delay RNA processing of the 18S component of the 40S ribosomal subunit. Furthermore, Bystin expression is critical for the progression beyond the 16-cell stage in preimplantation embryos. Notably, Bystin is also overexpressed in various human cancers, indicating involvement in the regulation of cell proliferation and suggesting potential implications for cancer research and therapeutic strategies.
