BUD31 Antibody (B-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects BUD31 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BUD31 (B-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BUD31, also known as Protein G10 homolog or EDG-2, consists of 144 amino acids and is encoded by the human gene BUD31 located on chromosome 7. This nuclear protein plays a crucial role in the regulation of gene expression and RNA processing, which are essential for proper cellular function and development. BUD31′s importance is underscored by involvement in various cellular processes, including pre-mRNA splicing and maintenance of genomic stability. Disruptions in BUD31 function have been linked to several genetic disorders and cancers, highlighting significance in both health and disease. BUD31 gene is situated on a chromosome associated with multiple syndromes, including osteogenesis imperfecta and Williams-Beuren syndrome, making research of this protein vital for understanding broader implications in human health.
