Brg-1 Antibody (G-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Brg-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Brg-1 antibody (G-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Brg-1, also known as SMARCA4, plays a crucial role in the SWI-SNF chromatin remodeling complex, which regulates gene expression through nucleosome structure remodeling in an ATP-dependent manner. This remodeling drives various cellular processes, including differentiation, proliferation, and response to external signals. Brg-1 interacts with other key SWI-SNF complex components, such as Brm (SNF2α), Ini1 (integrase interactor 1 or SNF5), BAF155, and BAF170, forming a functional core that enhances remodeling activity. These interacting proteins stabilize the complex and modulate activity, influencing the cell′s transcriptional landscape. Understanding SWI-SNF complex dynamics and components, including Brg-1, helps explain gene regulation mechanisms and their potential role in various diseases, including cancer.

Does any of these anti-Brg1 antibodies react with Xenopus laevis variants? Can you please run the simulation and tell me whether you predict they might react with this species? Thanks.

Thank you for your question. Our Brg1-specific antibodies have only been tested in samples from mouse, rat, and human. We do not have any data supporting reactivity in Xenopus laevis or other species.

I need a secondary reagent recommendation to be used with Brg-1 (G-7): sc-17796 mouse monoclonal primary by immunofluorescence?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for WesternsI performed Western blot for Brg-1/Smarca4 on whole cell extracts for two independent mouse trophoblast stem cell (TSC) lines, and also TSCs differentiated for 2, 4 and 6 days. I used Brg-1 antibody (G-7) diluted 1:1000 in 5% milk TBST. The Western was extremely clean with single bands of the predicted ~182 kDa.
