    SEE ALSO...

BMP2K Antibody (E-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects BMP2K of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BMP2K (E-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BMP2K, also known as BMP2 inducible kinase or BIKE, is a 1,161 amino acid nuclear protein that plays a crucial role in osteoblast differentiation and bone formation. BMP2K belongs to the serine/threonine protein kinase family and contains a single protein kinase domain, which is essential for function. BMP2K catalyzes the ATP-dependent phosphorylation of bone morphogenic proteins (BMPs), which are vital for proper cartilage and bone development. The phosphorylation of these proteins is a key regulatory mechanism in various cellular processes, including cell division and apoptosis. BMP2K′s activity is particularly important in signaling pathways that mediate bone growth and cellular differentiation, making BMP2K a significant target for research in bone-related diseases. Additionally, three isoforms of BMP2K exist due to alternative splicing, which may contribute to functional diversity and regulatory mechanisms in different cellular contexts.
