BMAL2 Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects BMAL2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BMAL2 (C-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BMAL2, also known as ARNTL2 (aryl hydrocarbon receptor nuclear translocator-like 2), MOP9, CLIF, or PASD9, is a 636 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the regulation of circadian rhythms. BMAL2 is primarily localized in the nucleus, where BMAL2 interacts with other core oscillator proteins to activate transcription of target genes. BMAL2 contains one basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) domain, one PAS-associated C-terminal (PAC) domain, and two PAS (PER-ARNT-SIM) domains, which are essential for function in circadian regulation. BMAL2′s ability to bind to the E-box element (3′-CACGTG-5′) of target DNA is vital for inducing transcription, thereby influencing various physiological processes that follow a circadian pattern. Additionally, multiple isoforms of BMAL2, resulting from alternative splicing, add complexity to regulatory functions, making BMAL2 an important target for studies related to circadian biology and implications in health and disease.
