BMAL2 Antibody (C-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b lambda antibody that detects BMAL2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BMAL2 (C-11) antibody is available as a non-conjugated anti-BMAL2 monoclonal isotype antibody. BMAL2 protein, also known as ARNTL2 (aryl hydrocarbon receptor nuclear translocator-like 2), MOP9, CLIF, or PASD9, is a crucial 636 amino acid protein that plays a significant role in the regulation of circadian rhythms. BMAL2 is primarily localized in the nucleus, where BMAL2 contains one basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) domain, one PAS-associated C-terminal (PAC) domain, and two PER-ARNT-SIM (PAS) domains. BMAL2 expression is notably high in the placenta and brain, with lower levels found in the liver, thymus, heart, lung, and kidney. As a key component of the circadian core oscillator, BMAL2 interacts with other proteins to activate the transcription of target genes by binding to the E-box element (3′-CACGTG-5′) of target DNA, thereby inducing transcription. BMAL2′s importance in maintaining circadian rhythms underscores potential implications in various physiological processes and disorders related to circadian disruption. Additionally, multiple isoforms of BMAL2 arise from alternative splicing events, which may contribute to functional diversity and regulatory mechanisms within the cell.
