β-sarcoglycan Antibody (RO-17) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects beta-sarcoglycan of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-beta-sarcoglycan antibody (RO-17) is available as the non-conjugated format. Beta-sarcoglycan plays a crucial role in the integrity of the dystrophin-glycoprotein complex, which is essential for maintaining the structural stability of muscle cell membranes. Beta-sarcoglycan is primarily located in the cell membrane of skeletal, cardiac, and smooth muscle fibers, where beta-sarcoglycan interacts with other sarcoglycan subunits to form a functional complex.
