β-catenin Antibody (H-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that specifically recognizes an epitope mapping between amino acids 755-781 at the C-terminus of human β-catenin. anti-β-catenin antibody (H-2) is validated for western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) across multiple species, including human, mouse, rat, avian, equine, canine, bovine, and porcine. β-catenin, also known as CTNNB1, is a versatile protein central to cell adhesion and Wnt signaling pathways. β-catenin interacts with a variety of proteins, most notably E-cadherin, forming the cadherin-catenin complex at adherens junctions to maintain tissue architecture. β-catenin also binds to the adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) tumor suppressor protein, which regulates its degradation via the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway, and to transcription factors such as TCF/LEF in the nucleus to activate Wnt target genes. Additional interactions include those with axin, a scaffolding protein in the β-catenin destruction complex, and the tyrosine kinase Src, which phosphorylates β-catenin to influence its role in signaling and adhesion. These interactions underline β-catenin′s critical roles in cellular dynamics and signal transduction. β-catenin monoclonal antibody (H-2) is ideal for studying this protein′s interactions and functional versatility in diverse cellular and developmental processes.
