SEE ALSO...

BCKDHB Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects BCKDHB protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-BCKDHB antibody (H-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BCKDHB protein, also known as branched-chain keto acid dehydrogenase E1, β polypeptide, is a crucial 392 amino acid component of the branched-chain keto acid dehydrogenase complex, which plays a vital role in the catabolism of branched-chain amino acids such as leucine, isoleucine, and valine. BCKDHB is located in the mitochondrial matrix, where BCKDHB facilitates the conversion of these amino acids into energy, underscoring BCKDHB′s importance in metabolic processes. Deficiencies in BCKDHB can lead to serious health issues, including maple syrup urine disease type IB (MSUD1B), a genetic disorder characterized by the accumulation of toxic metabolites, resulting in neurological damage and severe developmental challenges. The gene encoding BCKDHB is located on human chromosome 6q14.1, and understanding BCKDHB function and interactions is essential for developing therapeutic strategies for related metabolic disorders.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-374630 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
