BART1 Antibody (6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects BART1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). BART1 (6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose and horseradish peroxidase (HRP) conjugates. BART1 protein, also known as Binder of ARL2 protein 1 or ARL2BP, is a 163 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular processes by interacting with GTP-bound ADP-ribosylation factor-like protein 2 (ARL2) complexes. This interaction modulates ARL2 activity, which is essential for regulating vesicular trafficking pathways and activating phospholipase D. BART1 is predominantly located in the cytosol but can translocate to the mitochondria, where BART1 binds to the adenine nucleotide transporter in the presence of ARL2, highlighting BART1′s role in cellular energy metabolism and signaling. Additionally, BART1 is produced in two isoforms due to alternative splicing, which may contribute to BART1′s functional diversity in various cellular contexts.
