BANK1 Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects BANK1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BANK1 (F-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BANK1, known as B-cell scaffold protein with ankyrin repeats, is a crucial 785 amino acid protein that features one DBB domain and two ankyrin repeats, playing a significant role in B-cell signaling. BANK1 is predominantly expressed in B-cells, particularly in CD19(+) B-cells, where BANK1 interacts with key proteins such as Lyn, IP3R-I, and IP3R-II, facilitating B-cell receptor-induced calcium mobilization from intracellular stores. This calcium mobilization is vital for B-cell activation and subsequent immune responses, highlighting BANK1′s importance in maintaining immune system functionality. Notably, defects in BANK1 have been linked to an increased susceptibility to systemic lupus erythematosus, a chronic inflammatory condition that can affect multiple organ systems. Additionally, BANK1 exists in four isoforms generated through alternative splicing, which may contribute to diverse functional roles in immune regulation.
